Living alone with an enduring mental health problem is often an up hill struggle. You may feel unable to carry on with the full time tasks of maintaining a home or caring for yourself. Annadown House provides supported accommodation that specialises in housing related support, to make every day a little bit easier. The primary purpose of housing related support is to develop and sustain an individuals capacity to live independently. Some examples of housing related support services include enabling individuals to cook and care for themselves, advise on skills to maintain or acquire a tenancy. Support and guidance in accessing community services and motivating people to cope with daily life. Support can be short term or long term dependent upon a persons needs We have been providing supported accommodation to people aged 18-65 with enduring mental health problems / learning difficulties for 20 years. We provide a long term secure homely environment for people who need support to develop or sustain their independence.
We have three sites in close proximity on the Kingsbury Road in Erdington, Birmingham. We are situated just off junction 6 of the M6 and within 15 minutes of the Birmingham International Airport. We are also within walking distance of local rail and bus networks. Dependent upon support needs there are support workers providing varying levels of support over 24 hours, seven days a week.
